A modern thief can use diagnostics to detect circuit cuts on modern vehicles. The Auto watch Ghost II Immobiliser has no circuit cuts so it cannot be found using these methods.
Thieves cannot use sophisticated RF scanning, code grabbing technology to detect what security device your vehicle has when it does not transmit any signals like conventional security systems.
The use of the CAN data bus has several advantages including low risk during installation, low probability of detection, and allows for placement almost anywhere in the vehicle.
Because the unit communicates with the ECU on the data bus to immobilise the vehicle there is no way a thief could listen for the tell-tale clicking of a traditional immobiliser relay.
A thief cannot simply add a new key or replace an ECU to bypass the Autowatch Ghost II Immobiliser and start the vehicle. Only a correct PIN code will allow the engine to start.

If the PIN code is forgotten, the car is sold, or a button is broken there is a secure, unique reset code for each device.

The Ghost Immobiliser can be fitted to almost all vehicles. The Ghost Immobiliser utilises the CAN Networks which is common in almost all modern vehicle. For any information regarding compatibility do not hesitate to contact our expect installers.
The Ghost is one of the most secure security systems on the market. The Ghost immobiliser communicates with your vehicle’s ECU unit via the CAN Network, this allow it to operate in total silence without giving away its location. Key cloning, and ECU swapping is almost pointless as adding a new key or replacing the ECU to steal your vehicle will not work as only the correct personal code will allow your car to be started.
The installation of the Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser normally takes around two hours, once fitted we give a full demonstration of how to use it correctly. This normally takes around 15-20 minutes.

No, the Ghost Immobiliser does not affect your vehicle manufactures warranty at all. However, we do recommend checking with your local dealership.
Unfortunately cars with keyless entry are vulnerable to being stolen in under 60 seconds. This is done by picking up the transmission of your original key and replicating it to gain access to your car.

The ghost has a safety net in the form of a unique 4 digit code that allows you to promptly reprogram the Ghost to another pin and get the car started.
